Born in East Texas, I grew up with a unique perspective on the intersection between human progress and environmental preservation. My family’s involvement in oil and real estate gave me firsthand insight into both the challenges and responsibilities we have when it comes to protecting our planet.
I studied Japanese Language & Literature and Psychology at Vanderbilt University before refining my business skills at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. It was there that I focused my graduate research on leveraging technology for environmental education—an idea that would shape my career.
Over the years, I’ve founded multiple platforms at the intersection of science, technology, and nature:
My mission is simple: inspire curiosity about the natural world, promote science literacy, and advocate for environmental protection. Through Earth.com and the upcoming relaunch of EarthSnap in April 2025, I’m continuing to build platforms that connect people with nature in new and exciting ways.
I believe in kindness, conservation, and never underestimating the power of an idea. The Earth is not ours to destroy—we have a responsibility to protect it. Let’s explore, learn, and make a difference together.
